Book it cheaper
Hotels & Stays
The legacy Hotels page embedded a third-party search iframe (budgettour.net). This rebuilt page keeps the job — finding a cheaper place to sleep — but explains how to do it well.
Compare the total, not the headline
Hotel comparison sites quote the room rate; the price you actually pay adds taxes, resort fees, and "cleaning fees" for rentals. Two searches can quote the same room $40 apart once fees are included. Always check the final breakdown before booking.
How to book for less
- Book direct when the hotel matches the price — you get the loyalty points, the flexible rate, and a human to call if plans change.
- Use comparison sites for discovery, then decide: the cheapest booking channel is not always the site with the lowest headline number.
- Location is a price lever. One subway stop from the tourist core can halve the room rate without costing you time.
- Re-check before free-cancellation windows close — prices do drop; set a reminder and re-search once.

The honest rule
There is no secret hotel hack. There is only: compare total price across channels, book the flexible option when the plan is early, and let the location do the saving.
